Thank you, dd’s Discounts and First Book!

Our successful book drive fundraiser with dd’s Discounts on International Drive and First Book allowed us to gift books to some of Florida’s most deserving children at Catalina and Grand Avenue Elementary. Books were wrapped, adorned with candy canes, Storyline Online bookmarks and bows and presented to the students after some wonderful read alouds by dd’s Discounts store manager, Christine Stevens and her wonderful staff members. NY BookPAL of the Month for the month of Decemeber is Barbara Mundy. How long have you been a BookPAL? 8 years! I read to two classes at PS 111 in Hell’s Kitchen. I read the kids prior to their lesson with the art teacher.
