Freda currently reads to kindergarten and third-grade classes at Chase Street Elementary School in Athens, Georgia. Amy McElveen, Media Specialist, says, "Dr. Giles helps our students get excited about reading because her enthusiasm is contagious! I have the benefit of hearing the children talk about how much they enjoy her stories and of seeing students check out the books that she has read to them. We appreciate all she is doing to promote reading and learning at Chase Street Elementary School!"
Cameron Brooks, Third-Grade Teacher, says, "Listening to Dr. Giles read stories is such an anticipated Thursday treat for my students. Her captivating expression and warm presence draw the kids into each and every word."
Please join me in congratulating Dr. Freda Scott Giles for her dedication and wonderful service to the Atlanta BookPALS Program!
