BookPAL Kim Waltrip shares a story about her favoite book as a young reader and how she shared the love of that book with her son.
My favorite book as a child was, "A Cricket In Times Square." I had my son, Griffin, read it a few years ago and he loved it as well. Griffin started reading at a young age. From day one, I read to him as much as I could. It was not only a bonding experience, but it got him to love story telling. He would then memorize each book and try to tell me the stories instead. He was extremely animated and proud, as if he had written the story. It is a wonderful memory, and to this day, Griffin reads everyday.
