One of those events was the Thirteenth annual West Hollywood Kids Fair. Leah Cevoli, Rose Blume and Birkleigh Foreman read for the children at the fair. The Kids' Fair, featured entertainment, free health services, along with our BookPALS. The readers had their own stage with lots of excted kids in the audience. The kids especially loved the Dr. Seuss books.
John Burrows Middle School also had career day and was a great success due in part to our own Christina DeRosa and Mindy Goldhammer. They spoke to a packed auditorium about their careers as actresses. Mindy is also a published author.
We recently worked with the Reading is Fundamental group. Los Angeles BookPALS LeJon Stewart and Kathy Taylor read along with volunteers to students in Watts on June 5, 2008. LeJon is a frequent reader for us as well as the RIF organization.
