Project Read, an adult literacy program sponsored by the San Francisco Library, invited BookPALS to present five brief scenes from “Death of a Salesman” by Arthur Miller at the Wednesday Night Readers Book Club Program. Afterwards the performers participated in a discussion of the play with the learners and tutors present, who agreed that seeing the performance made a huge difference in their enjoyment and understanding of the play. One man said, “Now I want to go out and see a play.”
