As a performer, Martha has played Mrs. Dawson in television episodes of I'll Fly Away and Emma Watkins in several episodes of In the Heat of the Night. She also appeared in the television movie Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones.
Most recently, Martha performed in a production of Steel Magnolias at the Blackwell Playhouse in Atlanta.
Martha has been reading at High Point Elementary School in Atlanta since 2001 where the children adore her! Please join me in congratulating Ms. Martha B. Knighton (Queen Martha, as the kids refer to her) for her wonderful dedication to the BookPALS Program!
