This is Gloria's first year as a BookPAL. Gloria has been reading to children at Benteen Elementary School in Atlanta. Gloria always volunteers to participate in special events such as the Powers Ferry Apple Festival, Read Across America, the Primrose Seussentennial, etc. She is very enthusiastic and consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty.

We are very proud to have Gloria Stanley on the Atlanta BookPALS Team!
Gloria Stanley is a multi-talented, multi-faceted peforming artist on the horizon in the world of entertainment. Born in Macon, Georgia, she is renewing her mind with a resurgence and enrichment in unique collective rhythmic sounds and genres as an actress/singer songwriter. She also recites poems from her "Poetic Justice" collection.
Musically, she has graced stages for special community events, galas, nonprofit organizations and corporations. One of her most exciting performances was when she rocked the South for "My South Rocks" at Turner Broadcasting in Atlanta, Georgia.
Her film credits consist of "My South Rocks," "Fighting Temptations," "Drumline," "Field Mob 3," "Exposure," "Something to Talk About," "Insight," and "Lawless," to name a few. Some of her theatrical credits range from "A MidSummer Night's Dream," "Picnic," and "Bad Habits," performed on the Hertz Stage at the Alliance Theater; "Jack and the Beanstalk," with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra; "Alice in Wonderland," "The Dining Room," and "Inherit the Wind," at the 14th Street Playhouse; "The Man Who Came to Dinner," and "It's a Wonderful Life," at Class Act Theatre; "Kwanza," at the Douglass Theatre; "Once on this Island," at the Grand Opera House; "The Atlanta Passion Play," "Fences," "Chicago," "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," and "The Time Is Now." In addition, Gloria is a writer/producer of twenty-plus commercials.
Please join me in congratulating Gloria Stanley as Atlanta BookPAL of the Month for November 2006!
