Cmon, take the plunge!
If youre not reading weekly, start now! Its easier than you think to fit in just an hour a week. Once you commit to it, the rest of your busy life can revolve around reading to your fabulous kids. BookPALS always say, Its the best hour of my week. Truly. We appreciate so much your helping with special events and monthly group reads, but the weekly connection with the same kids really makes them Future Readersand makes you a real mentor. Even reading biweekly can be a Great Thing. 212-827-1446
Youre a BookPAL who reads weekly for an hour? THANK YOU! You know the huge difference youre making. Youre why BookPALS is such a success!
Reading consistently really helps your kids. Thank you so much for scheduling your auditions around your reading and for staying in touch with the BookPALS office.
Youre a BookPAL but youre not reading weekly yet this year? Call BookPALS and talk about what you need. You can always read biweekly, or even monthly. Those great kids will benefit from your talents no matter how much time you haveand youll benefit, too.
Youre a BookPAL who hasnt reached your school contact yet? Call the BookPALS office now and lets get you a different school. We dont want to waste another minute of the school year.
Youd like to be a BookPAL but you haven't attended a workshop yet? Even if you dont have time to read at this moment, taking a workshop means youll be ready to read when your schedule changes. Or if Margaret or Susan calls you to join them on a one-day group read. Or if the BookPALS coordinator e-mails to see if you can read at a special event.
Youd like to help BookPALS in a way other than reading? Call the office for ideas on how you can help New York kids. Theres lots going on where we can use help.
Thank you thank you for all you do! We cant say that enough. We hear how terrific our readers are all the time. And we know it!
