The Clark County Education Association is sponsoring the third annual Isaac Perez Race to Read. The reading incentive program at Ruth Fyfe Elementary honors the school's janitor who was killed while on duty at the school in 2002.
BookPALS would like to thank the Clark County Education Association Community Foundation for once again sponsoring the Isaac Perez Race to Read at Ruth Fyfe Elementary. The CCEACF has awarded BookPALS $1,000 to be used for prizes for the event. The reading incentive program kicks off January 9th with an assembly. Students will race to read over a eight week period, Those who read for the greatest number of minutes will be awarded $25.00 gift certificates from six area vendors. The classes that read for the greatest number of minutes will be treated to a pizza party. The prizes will be awarded at the close of Nevada Reading Week, March 3, 2005.
