BookPAL Eugene Bolande has continued to visit classrooms throughout Cambridge, Dorchester and Boston, spreading his enthusiasm for poetry.

He has created inspiring programs for Dr. Seuss’ Birthday, African American month, Martin Luther King’s Birthday and Poetry month. Often several BookPALS join Eugene on his classroom visits, reciting poems from Dr Seuss to Shakespeare’s King Henry the Eighth pre-battle speech to the troupes, complete with crown!. The teacher and kids follow with their own favorite poems. Eugene always ends each class time with a rousing rendition of an appropriate Poem for the month. It is great fun for all involved.
