The Fourth Annual Screen Actors Guild Foundation Atlanta BOOKPALS Reader Training Workshop held on Saturday, December 18th at the Buckhead Library in Atlanta was a huge success! National Program Director Ellen Nathan conducted an excellent, inspiring Workshop, as usual. More than thirty people attended, consisting of both old and new BOOKPALS.

Author Evelyn Coleman attended the Workshop with her wonderful family. Evelyn has written wonderful books such as White Socks Only, Mystery of the Dark Tower, Born in Sin, Circle of Fire, as well as many others. Evelyn captivated the audience by reading White Socks Only and a couple of her other books. Her husband, Talib Din, attended the Workshop, as well as her daughter Sankofa, and granddaughter, Taylor Parker. Sankofa, who is an artist, displayed her beautiful artwork. You can learn more about Evelyn by visiting her webpage at www.evelyncoleman.com.

A great time was had by all and I hope to place many of the new performers who attended the Workshop into schools very quickly in 2005. Thanks to all who attended and made the Workshop a great success!
