Hoodwinked
Written by Arthur Howard, illustrated by
Recommended Ages: 6 7 8
Mitzi, a witch, liked creepy things. So naturally, she wanted her pet to look replusive. So she flew to "Crackle and Company," where she purchased a toad. However, the toad didn't work out because all it did was eat bugs. She took it back and purchased two bats ("Toothache","Earwax"). Soon, Mitzi was unhappy with this choice. On her flight back from the store, Mitzi began to question whether she would ever have a pet. Although the following day, she hears a scratch at her door: Before her stood a CUTE kitten! The weather prompted her to invite the kitten inside (but only for the night). However, during the night, the kitten showed interest in Mitzi's activities...She named him Hoodwink--he was there to stay!
